On the Go With Lalabu Soothe Shirt® + Giveaway

Lalabu Soothe Shirt Review and Giveaway (lifeasus.com) #lalabubaby #sootheshirt #babywearing #momstyle #momfashion #nursingfashion #nursingstyle

Just before my son RD was born, I came across an amazing and innovative product called the Soothe Shirt® made by Lalabu via Instagram. It’s one of those things that you see and think, “That’s brilliant! I need that!” Actually I’m pretty sure that was exactly what I commented on a friend’s Instagram feed just before Keri, founder of Lalabu, reached out to me directly to see if I’d be interested in reviewing a Soothe Shirt of my own. Um, YES please! I must warn you. Once you see this you’re going to want one. And if you’re not a new mom or mom-to-be, you’ll want to get one for any of your expectant mommy friends. It’s definitely at the top of my gift buying list.

*Please keep reading for your chance to win a Soothe Shirt of your very own! You’ll also find a limited time code for free 2-day shipping offered just for our readers.

At Lalabu, they believe in “simple babying”. Their Soothe Shirt is just that…a stylish tank top for mom equipped with a cozy and secure pouch for baby AND built in nursing bra! Basically this Soothe Shirt can be worn comfortably all day long to help simplify your day no matter what your schedule. Dress it up or down, wear it alone or layered under a cute cardigan or blazer, but most importantly it’s ready to use within seconds and then you can enjoy kissing your baby atop his or her head while you (and baby) continue on. My son RD goes from fussy to calm within seconds of placing him inside. He gets that intimate swaddle right up against me that he and I love.

There’s also a head support that flips up to hold your baby’s head while they sleep and easily tucks back into the pouch when not in use. Since my son is 3 months old and over 12 lbs now, the head support isn’t large enough to cover and hold his head close to me. I simply place one hand or arm around the back of his head, and often find my other arm wrapped around him as well whenever it’s free. I wouldn’t compare this Soothe Shirt to a wrap or baby carrier. Instead, this innovative product deserves it’s own category! It’s a shirt that soothes baby inside a kangaroo-like pouch AND provides easy nursing access. It’s brilliant! The day my son grows out of it at 15 lbs (suggested max weight) will be a sad day. (However before I know it he’ll be eating solids and I spy some absolutely adorable organic bamboo terry cloth bibs on their site!)

Features of the Soothe Shirt

  • Easy to use pouch calms newborns
  • Built-in nursing bra for convenient breastfeeding
  • Soft, wrinkle free fabric
  • Perfect for all seasons – stylish enough to wear alone, light enough to wear under layers
  • Made in the USA

If you follow me on Instagram then you may have already seen it make several appearances in our daily #dresswithus series. Check my Soothe Shirt out in action below. I was gifted this Soothe Shirt, however all opinions are my own. I’m sharing my love for a product that really has made my life easier.

This is me, my son RD, and our beloved Soothe Shirt at the end of my day. Chores done (more or less). Both kids bathed. RD hungry again and a little camera shy. Dinner made. Husband just got home from work (and was asked to take my picture before he was allowed to eat it!) #lifeasus

Let’s back up 3 months ago when RD was just an itty bitty little newborn. I dressed my Soothe Shirt up with a cute mint blazer and instantly felt pulled together! (from Modcloth)

And on this day we met family at a restaurant for dinner and ice cream followed by an impromtu walk on over to the movie theatre. I was able to place him inside my Soothe Shirt during our walk, take him out at the theatre to nurse, and then place him back in which allowed me to watch an actual movie in an actual movie theatre while he slept peacefully! All moms can understand my excitement. Layered under my black and grey tribal print cardigan (from StitchFix)

And seen here that same day. My errands were made a whole lot easier because I could quickly and safely place my son inside my top as needed.  Nursing on-the-go was also made a breeze!

I would use the shirt for myself. My babe will be 3 months old next week but she has had a struggle. She still won’t sleep anywhere but on me and does not like the moby wrap. This would help me get things done :)

I couldn’t live without my wraps and carriers (especially now that I am a mommy to a newborn and a toddler!) I rave about them all of the time and tell other mommies and soon to be mommies how much I love these products! I take my wraps with me everywhere I go… But how awesome would it be to simply wear a shirt that is ready for your baby at any moment!? Im sure this shirt would be yet another product to swear by!

This looks so amazing! I wish I had it about a year ago when my daughter was first born! What a neat idea. I love baby wearing, and this just seems so much more snuggly! Haha.

I would be using it the shirt. Due with second bundle of joy in 8 weeks! Battled severe HG (picc line, iv fluids, zofran pump, etc) during this pregnancy as well. Been on bedrest for 2 weeks and will remain here until delivery. Can’t wait to have this miracle and be able to get out. This shirt would be perfect for a summer baby!
